Eco Friendly Paper Packaging
NOVO was pursuing a sophisticated colourful packaging design with a biodegradable solution.
We sourced sugarcane bagasse paper as the main material for their rigid boxes. Bagasse is the residue that remains after extracting sugar or biomass ethanol from sugar canes. Less energy is also required for the manufacturer to harvest and transport sugar cane bagasse compared to manufacturing and producing pure pulp. It has been estimated that CO2 emissions can be reduced by approximately 179kg for every ton of pulp produced this way.
The embossed logo on the box requires perfect precision and accuracy to achieve the desired look, giving a premium quality appearance. We gave the packaging a pearl finish coating- not using traditional PET film lamination so it is also recyclable.
